Rick (4)Burridge are currently in 7th place in the Southern Electric Premier table having won 1 and lost 1. How do you rate your season so far?

I feel very encouraged in our first two performances. Realistically we were one bowler ‘light’ at Lymmington which we showed with a very solid performance at Alton with our first win of the season last week.

Any stand out performances yet this season?

Difficult to have too many with only two games played but James Richards batted beautifully at Lymmington and in my opinion everyone gave a solid performance at Alton.

How frustrating have the adverse weather conditions been to your preparations?

Very. We’ve practised hard all winter and to not be able to get out and put that to good effect is very annoying. A real shame too to have our first time game called off this weekend ..

You've welcomed Geoff Dods back to the side, how important has his addition been?

Very important, he’s a class act. His 25 and 4 wickets at Alton in his first game speak for that .. We missed him at Lymmington ..

What are the targets for the rest of the season?

They remain the same as at the start of the season - consolidate and learn how to dominate at the level of cricket we are now playing at as a unit. A mid table or higher finish would be a great achievement ..
